Passengers heading to Dollywood can check in and board Allegiant flight 925, a Dolly Parton-themed flight to the Smokies.
The guitar riff is unmistakable. The coffee is very strong. The alarm clock is judging you.
For decades, Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5” has been the unofficial anthem of drudgery. However, in November this year, one airline overturned tradition and changed the check-in time to departure time.
On November 6, 2026, Allegiant Air will operate Flight 925 from Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) to McGee Tyson Airport (TYS) – a not-so-subtle nod to Dolly’s 1980 hit. The airline calls it “Destination Dollywood,” and yes, the flight number is the point (9 to 5…Flight 925…get it?).

according to loyal announcementthis won’t be a standard “board and go” event. SFB’s themed entry festivities will include live entertainment direct from the parks, Q&A, specialty food and beverages, and exclusive merchandise. The festivities continued on board, turning what would normally be a simple trip from Florida to Tennessee into a pre-flight party in the Smoky Mountains.
Passengers who purchase Dollywood tickets at the same time will receive additional benefits during the next day (November 7) Smoky Mountain Christmasincluding free exclusive rides, reserved show seats, special perks and other surprises. Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas has been named the best theme park Christmas event 15 times by Entertainment Today’s Golden Ticket Awards, according to the park.
“Flight 925 is all about embracing the joy of travel,” Allegiant Chief Commercial Officer Drew Wells said in the announcement. “Partnering with Dollywood Parks and Resorts allows us to offer unique experiences that embody the best of both brands: exceptional value, unforgettable moments and the opportunity to create memories from the moment you step onboard.”
Flight 925 is committed to embracing the joy of travel.

Eugene Naughton, president of Dollywood Parks and Resorts, called it the park’s first-ever themed flight partnership. He said passengers on Flight 925 will enjoy “a fast and fun way to get to the Smoky Mountains,” including using the new Night Flight Adventure Coaster and Christmas with over six million lights.
Travelers who want the full experience can also book discounted accommodation at Dollywood Dream Spa Resort or Heartsong Cottage Resortstay on November 6 and 7 and receive up to 25% off, a $100 resort credit, two park tickets with free TimeSavers, and trolley transportation to the park.
A leisure airline that does leisure things

Take away the rhinestones and it’s still classic Allegiant.
Founded in 1997, the Las Vegas-based airline’s business model is built around nonstop leisure routes connecting smaller cities to vacation destinations. Knoxville has been one of Allegiant’s bases of operations since 2018, making the Smoky Mountains tie-in feel less like a marketing gimmick and more like brand consistency.
The announcement also comes amid a major corporate chapter. January 2026, Allegiant Travel Company revealed an agreement Acquired Sun Country Airlines in a cash and stock deal valued at approximately $1.5 billion. The merger is expected to close in the second half of 2026, pending shareholder and regulatory approval. The two airlines will continue to operate separately until the FAA issues a single operating certificate.
Clock out. Board 925.

As part of the announcement, Allegiant is also extending its flight schedule through November 2026, giving travelers the opportunity to start planning holiday season travel. I know, I know…it’s only February. But, as John F. Kennedy once said, the best time to repair your roof is when the sun is shining.
Flight 925 actually had nothing to do with cyber strategy or corporate filings. This is about the moment when the boarding gate closes, the engine starts, and the workday temperatures dip below FL300.
For flights departing in November, the “9-to-5 job” became Flight 925. The Smoky Mountains await.
