Golf and cruising…sounds like the perfect vacation for some. Now these two worlds are merging. Viking, the first operating cruise line More than 100 cruise shipsjust signed a multi-year deal with the PGA Tour.

Announced today, the agreement designates Viking Cruises as the official cruise line of the PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions.

The partnership is expected to last until 2030. Over the next few years, Viking will be featured on various digital platforms and media broadcasts during PGA TOUR events.

The goal is to introduce the cruise line’s destination-focused sailings to a wider audience of golf enthusiasts. Viking knows golf has become a favorite activity for many guests.

Golf and travel are both important priorities in the lives of many Viking guests, so partnering with the PGA Tour is a natural fit and the foundation of our ongoing commitment to supporting cultural programming and events” said Richard Marnell, Viking’s executive vice president of marketing.

A History of World-Class Partners

While the partnership with PGA Golf is significant, Viking Cruises has been forging other partnerships for decades with brands that guests love even when they’re not cruising.

Here are some of the other partnerships Viking has formed in the past:

  • British Museum and Metropolitan Opera House
  • Los Angeles Philharmonic
  • PBS masterpiece: Viking’s primary partnership began in 2011

The company also recently announced a long-term agreement with the Norwegian Football Association.

As a major sponsor of the Norwegian National Team Academy and its youth national teams, the Vikings are participating in the “Future Vikings” program, which is designed to help develop the next generation of stars.

This investment in youth sports honors Vikings founder Torstein Hagen’s legacy in his native Norway.

Today, Viking operates a fleet of more than 100 vessels, including more than 80 river vessels, 12 ocean-going vessels and two expedition vessels designed for the polar regions.
