The UIAA (International Federation of Climbing and Mountaineering) and Climbers Against Cancer (CAC), a non-profit charity that raises awareness and funds cancer research through the global climbing community, are commemorating their long-standing relationship by creating a collaborative T-shirt.
The T-shirt (available in white and gray) is now available globally from the CAC online store (Europe, UK/Rest of the World). All proceeds will go directly to support CAC.
CAC was founded by the late British mountaineer John Ellison, who set up the charity after he was diagnosed with terminal cancer and has since raised nearly £650,000 in 18 countries.
In May 2014, Ellison was honored by the UIAA at the UIAA Governing Council meeting in Munich. He was honored for his outstanding efforts in bringing together climbers and the mountaineer family around the world to raise funds for research in the fight against cancer. UIAA has supported CAC ever since. In recent years, this has included fundraising events during global UIAA ice climbing competitions.
