this Madison Mountaineering Lenin Peak The expedition team took an early morning flight from Bishkek arrive Osh today. Tomorrow, they will set off for Lenin Peak Base camp but spent the day exploring the city; a great way to stretch our legs after a few days of flying last week! The group toured several different locations around the city with beautiful blue skies overhead. The journey continues tomorrow, hoping to see more scenery. Hello! This is Terre call Madison Mountaineering Lenin Peak (7134m/23,406ft) adventure. Today is July 1st.
We got up very early this morning, from Bishkek (800m/2,600ft) south to Osh (963 m/3,159 ft). We settled in here and walked around the corner to have breakfast at a nice little Italian restaurant. Afterwards, we set off to explore the city. Osh Has a rich history; this is a major site silk roadjust a few minutes walk from our hotel UNESCO World Heritage Site called suleiman mountain. We spent most of the morning there. The petroglyphs there date back 3,000 years. There are two mosques on the site, dating back to the 16th century. There is a great viewing platform on the shoulder of the mountain and we can see very beautiful scenery fergana basin. that’s there Osh lie in.
We look forward to seeing more great views tomorrow. We’ll drive there tomorrow Lenin Peak Base Camp (3600 m/11,811 ft). The drive would take the better part of a day and we were looking forward to moving into the tent and starting the adventure.
