The new feature adds a dedicated Verts icon to the mobile navigation bar. Once clicked, users are taken to a swipeable vertical video stream showing scenes and moments from Disney+ movies and series. The experience is designed to be similar to what many people have already discovered with short-form videos on mobile phones, allowing viewers to quickly scroll through clips, add titles to a watch list or skip directly to full playback.

First announced at Disney’s 2026 Global Technology & Data Showcase, Verts represents a new approach to content discovery on streaming services. Disney says the feature is powered by an advanced recommendation algorithm that personalizes the feed based on individual viewing habits, helping to surface shows and movies that users may want to watch next.

According to Disney, the current rollout is just the beginning. While the first release is focused on helping fans discover content across Disney’s vast catalog of stories spanning more than a century, future updates may expand the feature to include creator-driven content, additional storytelling formats, and a more personalized viewing experience.
