Legoland Florida Resort hosts first Lego Festival

Legoland Florida Resort hosts first Lego Festival

If kids controlled the world, family playtime would always be around. That’s why the LEGO Group and Merlin Entertainments’ LEGOLAND Resort are teaming up to launch LEGO FESTIVAL, the first-ever celebration of its kind! It’s children’s first festival, where LEGO play comes to life on an epic scale. With dance, rock, construction, and games, this will be the most epic reminder to prioritize play time.

At LEGOLAND Florida, the inaugural LEGO Festival kicked off on May 3 and will take place every weekend until June 8. Kids can build, move and explore five immersive zones: 🎶 Music, 💃 Dance, 😌 Relax, 🎨 Creativity and 🎮 Games!

Guests’ journey begins with an unforgettable welcome and unique photo opportunities at each LEGOLAND, featuring an iconic personalized (city) “My Heart Plays” LEGO model. In this incredible model, each child receives a festive lanyard and then begins a journey through all five areas, culminating in signing their ‘Play Pact’ at the end of the day.

With each “agreement,” Merlin Entertainments and the LEGO Group commit to arranging playtime for underserved children and their families at LEGOLAND Resort. The Play Contract asks children to commit to building more, laughing louder, exploring, and always playing!

Featuring five engaging and interactive areas, and 49 new large-scale LEGO models launched globally, LEGO Festival is sure to become a family tradition for years to come!

81% of children say they prefer playing with their parents rather than alone (LEGO Fun Report), LEGO Festival aims to bring families together for meaningful and unforgettable play!

Fiona Eastwood, chief executive of Merlin Entertainments, said: “Legoland Resort has always been a ‘kids’ first’ theme park experience – Who better to provide them with their first festival experience? Together with the LEGO Group, we’ve created the ultimate way to discover and experience the power of creative play, hoping to inspire imagination, social connection, self-expression and learning. As Merlin Entertainments’ first festival, we want to ensure LEGO Festival is a place where imagination can run wild and creativity can be a fun and memorable experience.
